Coquilles Chantant in Carvoeiro, Portugal
Welcome family and friends to our European apartment, the Coquilles Chantant, nestled above the Atlantic View bar in Carvoeiro, Portugal!
It is located just up the hill from Praia do Carvoeiro, the most beautiful beach in all of Europe (yes, we're biased), and only steps from putting your feet into the Atlantic Ocean.
The Coquilles Chantant is a petite 3 bedroom/1 bathroom apartment with a kitchenette and a cozy little sitting room.
It is perched above the Atlantic View Restaurant, a small local bar and grill that serves Portuguese food and fun, with a patio where you can enjoy views of the sea.
Carvoeiro and the Southern Algarve Region
Carvoeiro sits in the center of the southern Algarve region of Portugal. It's an old fishing village that evolved into a tourist town back in the '60's.
This sleepy little Mediterranean town of 3,000 residents explodes to 20,000 visitors during the summer when a vibrant bar and restaurant scene comes to life with nightly music and a stage where the town's main square meets the beach.
The main square sits directly below our apartment and at the edge of Praia do Carvoeiro (see video). Depending on your timing, it's either a sleepy little beach town or a hopping tourist party destination!
Our friends Max, Sophia, and Natasha, operate the Atlantic View Restaurant and Bar and will be your downstairs neighbors for your stay.
Sophia (center) developed her culinary skills in the family restaurant business in Belgium. The aroma of her grandmother's Flemish recipes fused with Portuguese-inspired tapas will beckon you down to the patio.
Max (2nd from left) moved to Portugal in his youth from Brazil. He has been a mixologist as well as a restaurant and bar manager in Carvoeiro before opening the Atlantic View.
Natasha (left) welcomes everyone on the weekends with her positive energy.
The Atlantic View is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day except for Wednesdays. Expect to hear live music on Saturday nights during the busy season.
